RULES
Calling a discard
Call a discard to finish a matching group of three or more, or to complete your whole winning hand.
- To make an exposure, use the discard with tiles you hold to complete the group. You cannot call a tile to save for later.
- You can call a single tile or finish a pair only if that tile completes your whole hand for mahjong.
- Put the completed group face up. It stays exposed for the rest of the hand.
- Discard after exposing. Do not draw on that turn.
- A concealed row, marked C, allows only a winning call.
- Mahjong takes priority over an exposure call. Between exposure calls, the next player in turn order after the discarder gets the tile.
- Between two mahjong calls, the next player in turn order gets the tile confirm.
- In TileClack, Claim holds the tile while you choose. At a table, say “wait.”
- At a table, speak before the next player racks a tile, discards or starts an exchange confirm.
