SAVE YOUR PATH
Create an account
Save your progress and pick up where you left off.
Someone has mahjong, and it's time to settle the score. Start with one number on the card, then work through the payments together.
Start with the value beside your row
Find the number beside the winning row. That's its base value, the starting point for every payment.
In American mahjong, payment depends on how you got your winning tile.
| How you win | Who pays what | Example: value 25 |
|---|---|---|
| On a discard | The discarder pays double. The other two players each pay the base value. | 50 from the discarder, 25 from each other player |
| On your own draw | All three players pay double. | 50 from each player |

Apply the jokerless bonus
An eligible hand won without jokers doubles each payment again. Singles and Pairs does not receive this bonus confirm.
For a jokerless hand worth 25:
- Win on a discard: 100 from the discarder and 50 from each other player.
- Win on your own draw: 100 from each player.
The doubles multiply. A payment doubled twice is four times its starting amount.
Agree on how your group keeps score
TileClack calculates the payments for you. At a table, it's fine to ask someone to work through the winning row and payments with you. Some home groups simply celebrate each mahjong without keeping a running score.
Siamese has its own scoring rules.
Remember
Discard win: discarder doubles. Own draw: everyone doubles. Eligible jokerless hand: double again.
