Why it helps
You'll see how the card helps you make choices as a hand develops.

Practise this lesson

Now you can try choosing a hand for yourself. Keep the card nearby and take the game one decision at a time.

Use the card in a game

Bring what you've learned to a hand: find a promising section, compare a few rows and work toward one complete set of 14 tiles. You make the decisions, with the Coach and Undo available when you need them.

Before each discard:

  1. Check whether your new tile completes your hand.
  2. Compare your tiles with the row you're building.
  3. Choose a discard that doesn't help that row or a useful alternative.

Before calling, check that the group fits your row and that the row allows exposures.

Your opponents' racks are visible so you can follow their choices as well as your own.

Finish the hand

Stay with the game until someone wins or the wall runs out. Either ending completes the lesson, so you have room to focus on learning your way around the card.

If a choice leaves you wondering, ask for a hint or use Undo to try another. Seeing why a move helps is part of the practice.

Remember

Keep checking your rack against the card. Your plan can change as new tiles arrive.
